Similar issue: Last spring I created an asset inventory with Survey123, consisting of a feature class (locations) and a linked table (inspections). I envisioned the workflow to be collecting locations and initial inspections with Survey123, then using Collector or Field Maps to add inspection records. Each inspection record typically included 3 attached photos. Because cell service was very spotty, I expected to work entirely offline. When I started, I downloaded a map of my entire area (1.6 million acres) to Collector Classic with no problem. Since my Survey123 feature class and table were also included in my Collector map, once I sent the survey records and synced the Collector map, my survey records appeared on the map. As I added more and more records, I started having problems-- the first was that the Android tablet I was using ran out of space. I switched to an iPad, but had very limited success even getting an offline area to download in Field Maps. Most map area download attempts resulted in "download failed", even for areas <200MB (after 15-30 minutes spent downloading). Although I had been able to download the entire 1.6 million acre area at the start of the project, by the time I had >3,500 asset records, the download size forced me to break the area into 9 separate pieces, which are not nearly as convenient for field workers (which area am I in?). The asset inventory had over 3,500 records, each with 1-5 (average 3) photo attachments. Field workers need to be able to add inspection records in the field, and offline, because they don't always have cell service. I considered trying to sideload a MMPK, but field workers need to be able to add inspection records in the field, and I understand MMPKs are read-only. One option might be to use Survey123 exclusively. I enabled the inbox, so once all 3500 records are downloaded to a device, they could be updated offline. I am very disappointed that Field Maps does not handle big data sets well. It is marketed for data collection, but if you can only collect a little bit of data before it has performance lags and download errors, or if you have to break your area into very many tiny pieces because of download size, why use it? I also would like the Collector Classic option to change the measurement units within the tool. Especially when measuring distances, sometimes you want a shorter unit (such as feet or meters) and sometimes you want a longer unit (such as miles or kilometers). It can be very hard to predict which one you will need before you start measuring. Even for areas, it is nice to be able to change units while you measure, as Collector Classic did so well. And yes, I find moving the map to add points very cumbersome. See thread //www.gamepadva.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-ideas/enable-touch-to-enter-vertices/idc-p/1195701#M833

完全同意,移动地图,利用to add a point is much more cumbersome than the tap to add a vertex method of Collector Classic. This applies to adding any points, lines, or polygons, and also just to measuring. It is just as awkward to measure this way as to add a polygon. See also //www.gamepadva.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-ideas/more-advanced-measurement-tool/idi-p/1142370 Typically I make measurements or draw polygons with a stylus while offline, and I think this moving the map to the crosshairs is less accurate than tapping the map with a stylus. Except for perhaps the first point, I am usually not standing where I'm drawing a polygon or making a measurement. If Collector classic still worked in later versions of Android, I would still be using it. It worked much better-- the measure tool, digitizing, and so often it would download an offline map no problem, while Field Maps too often tells me, "The map failed to download".

I am using the ESRI World Topo (for export) basemap https://agis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=eaee8760ed754019a964a6d785613a50 Not sure if this is vector or not but it is marked Authoritative. As another layer in the map, I have the USA Topo Maps for export https://agis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=ed46209ca47844e2af27b5d5fbedb87b This might be a raster since it is scanned versions of the USGS quadrangles, but it has worked well for years on mobile devices offline, even just this spring. I have not seen a topographic vector layer that is as detailed as the USGS 7.5' quadrangles in terms of marking places of interest and contour detail, so I really would like this included in my map. I tried removing the USA Topo Maps for export layer, but after about 20 minutes, Field Maps just told me "An error occurred when downloading the map" What am I missing?

I cannot download a map or map area for offline use. I have tried Collector Classic 18.0.3, Collector 10.2.2, and Field Maps 21.1.0 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A running Android 10, but none of them work. In Collector and Field Maps I try to download a pre-defined map area, but after a few minutes (or an hour) receive the following error: "An error occurred when downloading the map" and nothing is downloaded. It seems to hang up around 114 MB (of 821 MB). I tried turning on Developer options in both Collector and Field Maps to look at error logs, but the only thing listed under Developer options is "Placeholder" which does nothing. In Collector Classic I receive the following errors: The map 'XXXXX' failed to download with the message: Untrusted server certificate from https://tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer/jobs/jcb915b3bf621........... The map 'XXXXX' failed to download with the message: Read error: ssl=0xb3ebe378: I/O error during system call, Software caused connection abort Trying again with Collector Classic, I received this error: The map 'XXXXX' failed to download with the message: Unable to resolve host "tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com": No address associated with hostname Several times in Collector Classic the map appears to download, but when I open it there is an error, "The map or data could not be loaded. Try downloading your map again." Sometimes, most of the map works, except for the USA_Topo_Maps for export layer [Living Atlas Tile Layer by ssemmens_hmhs, created Feb 5, 2015], which I downloaded successfully as part of a different map to the same Samsung Android device about 2 months ago. Removing only the features and retaining the basemap and trying the download again sometimes results in the same apparent download with the error on opening, or sometimes results in the error "The map 'XXXXX' failed to download with the message: Read timed out" Using the USA Topo Maps (for Export) Tile Layer by esri (Created: Oct 21, 2013) instead does not seem to make any difference. Trying to download a 7 MB map area with Collector Classic on a different Android device (Android 6.0) gave the error, "The map 'XXXXX' failed to download with the message: Read timed out" There might have been other errors given after some of my other attempts. I have tried to download a map more than 10 times since about June 4, 2021, with different combinations of layers, but never successfully. I rather doubt it is a problem with a layer, since I have downloaded all of these layers (including the USA_Topo_Maps for export layer) in various combinations in other maps, with Collector Classic on this and another Android device, at some point this year. I am using the ESRI World Topo (for export) basemap, which downloaded successfully to this same Samsung Android device in another map. I have tried the same download multiple times on 2 different WiFi networks, but never was successful. How can I get a map or map area downloaded so I can use it offline?

Just curious if an algorithm like maximum entropy or a Bayesian classification might be implemented in the suitability modeler. While it's very helpful to have charts to immediately see the effects of your classification or weighting or function choice, many times I have a poor idea what features of the habitat are most important, making it hard to assign variables when reclassifying or weighting layers. With some point locations (which often do not represent the full range of a species), Maxent ( https://biodiversityinformatics.amnh.org/open_source/maxent/ ) seems to do a decent job of returning reasonable areas of suitable habitat, even if I throw in 80 rasters and let it sort out which are most important. I would enjoy seeing this as choice in the modeler, just so I could see what affect it has on the final output. In some cases, it might not be the best model, but right now I have no way of knowing. It would also be interesting if the model could provide a Bayesian posterior probability or some other measure to show how well it fits our input data (i.e. the probability of the model, given our data). Perhaps at each step, to help us decide which value or function is most appropriate? See also Maxent algorithm added to ArcMAP

I have this same problem on my Android 6.0 phone I had 2 surveys downloaded to this device and both were working fine, but then I cleared the cached data in internal storage for all apps trying to free up more memory, and apparently this cleared all the surveys I had downloaded and all my Collector maps. Now I get this message when trying to download any survey, including ones I previously had downloaded to the device. Survey123 is set to use an SD card as storage. I tried to turn on logging like suggested above, but I can't find an AppStudio console nor a log file (my computer says the SD card is blank, but my phone says 13.03 GB is used). Perhaps this is mostly an Android problem but if you can offer any suggestions that would be great.

Popups from Google Sheets seem to be working on my map, with all the attribute data showing. A few years ago I had the problem of popups from a Google Sheet listing the field names but not the data (just blank), and the problem was that the field names contained double colons :: Replacing those with _ solved the problem.

Thank you for the reply. I tried adding a file from the cloud drive, and received this error: "Cloud drive file is invalid or not found." However I can open it in Google Sheets and edit it just fine. If I can get the workaround to work, it could suffice temporarily, but the real benefit from linking a Google Sheet is that the map is automatically updated when any changes are made to the Sheet. I just don't have time to do manual updates whenever there's a change (there will be a lot). I'm not sure if this is an ArcGIS Online problem, or a Google Sheets problem. I just know that on Jan. 16 all my sheets were linking to webmaps just fine, and as of today (Jan. 30) they are not, and I changed nothing in between there.

I used to link Google Sheets to a webmap just by publishing the Sheet, then adding it as CSV to my webmap. Two weeks ago, this worked fine. Today I get errors, with the same Sheets, which are still shared in the same way. When I try to add the Google Sheet as CSV I get an error that the Sheet 'is not accessible': When I open a webmap that used to have Google Sheets linked as CSV I also get an error that the Sheet 'is not accessible': Can anyone offer a work-around or tell me how I can get these sheets linked in to my webmaps again? We are using these to coordinate among a bunch of project partners, and not being able to see our data on the map is frustrating. Thanks for your help.

当QuickCapture告诉我它未能发送生理记录仪ds, and I chose the option to email or save them, it only sends/ saves a .qcr file, which is not an ArcGIS online supported file type. I can't figure out how to get the sent/ saved records back into my dataset, or even how to view them. A previous send error was due to sharing permissions, but that is not the case for the latest one. All fields are filled out or not required. If I have text in a Double field, would that do it? The Designer gave no error when assigning those values. This is ArcGISQuickCapture 1.2.116 on android 6.0. If I can't get records uploaded reliably, the app isn't much use.
